It should also be noted that 9/19 participants, or less than 50% of the panel, suggest that the debate should be led by a neutral actor who would not favour any actor profile: retailers, brands, agencies, display manufacturers.
And it is true that there is the risk of transforming the debate into a corporate action, whereas the stakes exceed the fracture/tension lines between actors. Unless we are mistaken, associations such as GS1, ECR … have demonstrated this is possible on other topics.
